For the best wild swim in Scilly, leave from the idyllic sands of Bar Point – the landing beach that the inter-island boats drop you off. Here the sparkling, clear waters and deserted white beach just compel you to wade in. Surrounded by wild flowers and birdsong it really doesn’t get much better than this (GR SV 879 132).
