Swimming on Herm

Herm has some fine beaches and one of the best ones to swim from is Shell Bay. The sands of this wonderful beach are framed by marram-fringed dunes and shallow turquoise waters making them feel like a tropical paradise. With reefs close to the shore ate also excellent for snorkelling . The small café on the beach is also well stocked for a family day out. Shell Beach is also the jumping off point for the Puffin Patrol kayaking trip to see the most southerly puffin colony in Britain.
