Shell beach is the starting point for a number of outdoor activities on Herm. Travelling south to Puffin Bay it is possible to paddle amongst rafts of puffins from early April to mid July. Near Shell Bay, The Humps are also a good destination to see Herm’s seals. There is a further option for a Herm Circumnavigation by kayak (March – September), experiencing some great views, wildlife and a chance to explore the Herm silver mine in a 2 hour trip.
