Cafes
Island Cafe , Arinagour – a friendly, community café with a big menu of home-cooked goodies, great puddings and large portions that’s licensed and offers some takeaway dishes. Sunday lunches are excellent too. The cafe overlooks Loch Eatharna and has a lawned area in front where coffee, meals and drinks can be taken at the tables. Free WIFI extends into the garden.
Restaurant
The Gannet Restaurant, Coll Hotel – has a big reputation for delicious, local homemade food. Their delicious dishes are created from fresh locally caught lobsters, crabs, langoustines, squat lobsters and scallops and, when possible, locally grown seasonal vegetables and salads and islands beef and lamb. All bread, pasta & ice creams & deserts are homemade. There are lunch and evening menus and a specials board which changes daily. Meals are served in the bar, the Gannet (which overlooks the harbour) or in the garden. There’s also a Residents’ Dining Room which overlooks the garden and sea beyond.
