- Route description:
This circular walk on the Isle of Wight starts from the carpark below St Catherine’s Oratory and heads uphill to the medieval lighthouse to enjoy the superb views of the chalk cliffs of the Isle of Wight’s south coast. It continues through the down land to the charming village of Niton before following the Yar River Trail (NE), then Ashknowle Lane to Berryl. The route then heads south to reach the Isle of Wight Coast Path and follows it west to Blackgang and the return to the car park
- Getting there: The Blackgang car park is located east of the Blackgang roundabout off the A3055. Southern Vectis Bus Service 6 or Island Coaster (Summer) drops off at Blackgang Chine with a 1⁄2 mile walk to the start of this walk.
